Prior to her appointment as Chief Operating Officer of Weidmüller in 2013, Elke Eckstein was employed by the leading lighting manufacturer OSRAM. From 2011 she was responsible for the production units within the Lamp Manufacturing division as well as the central functions of Supply Chain Management, Quality and Technique. In this role, Eckstein managed the reorganization with regard to the transformation to LED technology and was responsible for global lamp and pre-material manufacturing at 25 locations with over 10,000 employees. Eckstein brings over 30 years’ experience within the electronics and electrotechnical sector. Previous professional roles also include her appointment as COO at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Regensburg, where she was responsible for worldwide production and supply chain, as well as her role as Vice President of AMD in Dresden, where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations at the semiconductor factory. Prior to these appointments she also worked for three years as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Altis Semiconductors in France.
Furthermore Eckstein has gained international experience in the USA and Taiwan.
